With the advent of the personal computer (PC) in the early 1980s, major corporations began to adopt and implement the personal computing platform to replace the terminal-mainframe interface. The idea was to localize the processing task and remove the computing demand from the mainframe to the end user's desktop. However, what that created was an environment where corporate data was local to the user and un-shareable with other employees and the corporation. This evolved a need to allow each desktop the ability to communicate with other desktop via a network. This resulted in the development of client/server computing, processing takes place at the desktop while the data resides on a shared server.
During the 1990's the cost of computing was driven down by significant increases in volume which in turn made it affordable for the small to medium size business sector. As a result many of these companies began to purchase and install this new computing paradyme. What they did not realize is that these networked comuputing environments were not simple but rather complex and needed expert attention.
In February of 1995 ARM was established by its founder, Gene Muzyka, with a clear vision to deliver enterprise technology experience to small and medium size businesses. Mr. Muzyka's aim is to focus on providing high quality IT Infrastructure services and establishing a business parternship with the client.
We believe in honest dialogue with our clients, up front and direct. Our goal is not to sell technology but convey how technology will help them achieve their goals. The initial conversation with our client is about thier business, understanding what they do, how they do it and why. ARM is not all things to all people, we understand that. That is why we partner with leading companies that are expert at what they do best. With our help, the client receives the services and products they need.
ARM is a results oriented company. We'll do whatever it takes!
